  • This is one of the easier things Captain Rodriguez makes us memorize..... ;)
  • LOL... we've all had one of "those" teachers.
  • I really think Dave's concept that is very easy to learn. In fact I believe you can teach a 5 year old this very simple process of Deviation and Variation concept combined with deduced reckoning (aka DR) concept to find where you where faster than any GPS could ever do when the GPS is in the power off mode. I tried very hard to find any word called "ERROR" in Dave's logic in which he approaches this problem which must mean this is a near perfect system of navigation that we all should adapt to add to our current methods of navigating.
    Please pardon me while I go and inhale some more Nitrous Oxide (aka Laughing Gas)

    P.S. Richard, where could I purchase one of those course correction calculator, and how many batteries does it need for it to operate?
  • Capt. Jack, Dave's concept has to be "performed", as he did for the class, to be fully appreciated :)
    John, no, Capt. Rodriguez isn't one of "those" teachers, just very thorough, one of a handful I'll remember down the road.
