I think you mean "Mauritanians". Mauritius is an island in the Indian Ocean. I've never met a Mauritanian that I know of, but I once met a pair of lovely young women from Mauritius...a story for another day. :-)

This would be a neat place to go see. It is too bad that corrupt officials let people ruin the shoreline of their home, but I would love to see all of those old ships. One of the coolest things I remember doing as a child was seeing the "Mothball Fleet" of the US Navy when we visited Washington state to visit some relatives.
