I have a 2GB Lexar "Firefly" USB flash drive that has been through my washing machine and dryer twice.  I have dropped it and stepped on it too.  The case is cracked (it is only plastic) and I have to watch that I do not split the two halves of the case (because it is hard to put back together), but the thing still works after being abused for two years now.
