  • I wonder that twin propellers resulting more possibilities of propeller-ice interactions. Single pod could have been an alternate choice from manufacturers. Of course twin propellers have an advatage of using smaller diamter thus creating more hull aperture.

    How will the vessel be dealing with drifting ice while drilling? Does it mean that the vessel still requires ice management by suitably deploed other ice breakers.
  • One more item is that as the number of special personnel on board the vessel will be much more tha 12, the vessel is going to be a special purpose ship (SPS) satisfying IMO Res A 534(13). Please confirm.
  • All god questions I'm not qualified to answer. Any other readers have insight for Arun?
